Sensocon airflow monitors (airflow alarms) are designed to provide an extra layer of security by observing the status of your airflow. Commonly used for Class II Biosafety Cabinets, Cleanrooms, and Fume Hoods; our alarms help to meet the NSF standard 49 Exhaust Alarm requirement. This standard requires Type A1 and A2 cabinets to have an audible and visual alarm for decreases in exhaust flow. It also requires that Type B cabinets have an audible and visual alarm to indicate a 20% loss of exhaust airflow. Based around your needs, Sensocon airflow monitors can be set up to alert you when airflow falls below 80% of the operational flow or when it falls to a predetermined set point. All alarms come with both visible and audible indications should the status of the airflow change. For more information on the exhaust alarm requirements of NSF Standard 49, you can view the October 15, 2015 Biosafety Cabinet memo from NSF International here.
